ISSITA exists to connect government, industry, destinations, and community around one shared agenda: growing Indonesia's sport and special interest tourism from the ground up.
Assosiasi Wisata Olahraga dan Minat Khusus Indonesia — Indonesia Sport and Special Interest Tourism Association — was founded on 23 June 2023 on a simple premise: the country's sport and special interest tourism potential is scattered across ministries, provinces, federations, and communities that rarely talk to each other. ISSITA exists to close that gap — connecting stakeholders, developing destinations and communities, and promoting Indonesia's sport tourism story to the world.
We are not a travel agency, a government office, or a media outlet. We are the connective layer between all of them.
To make the combination of sport, special interest, culture, and the natural beauty of the Indonesian archipelago a driving force in promoting regional tourism — nationally and internationally.
To significantly increase the positive impact of tourism in Indonesia through sport tourism, special interest tourism, and culture — combined with the natural beauty of the Indonesian archipelago.
One national board sets direction; provincial and regional chapters carry it into every destination across the archipelago.
